We thought it was a hotel but it was a guesthouse with really small rooms. The bathroom was so small, when I was sitting on the toilet it felt like my ass still was on the outside.

Popotniki, ki potujejo sami Germany, 4. maj 2013	Better than most other guesthouses Very kind staff, clean rooms, fast Wi-Fi 9,3 I’ve just read some other guest reviews and I my advise is to ignore the bad ones. you have to compare this hotel with other hostels and guesthouses in the Chungking Mansions or Mirador Mansions. So why is it better than most other hostels? – The staff is very kind, you feel welcomed, they even gave me a room when I asked for staying longer although there was no one available on Agoda. (In other hostels the staff is not always kind, I had bad experiences) – The rooms are clean and in a good condition. (That is also not always so, especially some guesthouses with owners lack of maintenance, cleanliness and renovation) – The Wi-Fi is very fast. (In some other guesthouses it might not work at all) – And the check in and out times are ok (at another guesthouse I had to wait until 6 pm for check-in once) I further have some advises about the Chungking Mansions and the access to the hotel. I just found a second entrance to the ground floor on the right of the main entrance, from there you’ve got easy access to the elevators of Block D and E and you can avoid the hawkers at the main entrance. If there are too many people waiting at the elevator to the 10th floor, you can take the other one, go to the 9th or 11th floor and use the staircase. If you want to go down and there are too many people waiting at the Block D elevator you can go through the hotel and leave it at the back door, then you can take the Block E elevator.

When I checked-in, they changed me to one of their guesthouses such as Paris guesthouse, City guesthouse or Paris guesthouse... on the 7th floor. The room was so small and the condition was not very clean.

I always come back to here when I can because it’s really the best one in the area, it has a great value for money, and the staff is very kind, you feel welcomed. Last time the room was very small, this time I got a bit bigger one, or it looked bigger because the bed was a single bed, but the rooms are always very clean and in a good condition, and many of them are new, or they look new. And the Wi-Fi is very fast, that is important for me. After I got used to the building there is really no negative thing. But I’m nearly afraid that if I always write these good reviews it might be difficult for me to get a room there if I don’t book early enough.

Popotniki, ki potujejo sami Germany, 25. april 2013	The best hostel in the area Very kind staff, clean room, fast Wi-Fi 9,3 I didn’t stay in this hotel that night, I had to change my flight to Hong Kong, but I stayed there already several times, so I can write a review, which is important for them, probably because they know that it would be a good review. I will write it only about the hotel, because the conditions in the Chungking Mansions need getting used to. The staff is very kind, so you feel welcomed. The rooms are very small, as usual in the building, but very clean, and many of them are new. The bathroom is small and clean as well, there is a water heater for the shower, don’t forget to turn on the switch next to the door. Furthermore, the air condition works very well, in the default setting too well, but you can change it at the unit. The Wi-Fi is fast, sometimes with a few interruptions, but generally it works well. So I can only recommend this hostel, since it’s the best one in the Chungking Mansions, and I wouldn’t recommend the Mirador Mansions, so it’s probably the best one in the area.
