The host couple was very friendly and provided lots of helpful information on things to do in Sokcho. They helped book an early taxi for my hike in Seoraksan National Park and even drove me to the bus station for my return to Seoul. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the beach, and walking along the ocean at sunset was very pleasant. The bus stop for Seoraksan, Naksansa, and downtown Sokcho is about a 12-minute walk away—not a downside, just something to be aware of. I had a great time in Sokcho.
