"It was OK. We stayed here for 1 night before traveling to Maratua a further night when we had to come back earlier than expected and a 3rd night before trying to fly out of Berau. The wifi didn't work on either occasion. The reception staff looked beautiful but could speak hardly any English whereas we met some very friendly waiters who could speak good English and then had to translate to the reception staff which I thought strange as you d thing front of house would need that advantage for international travellers. It had a very cold feel to it even though it's in a hot country. We had to wait 3 nights in Berau waiting for the planes to fly but managed to find a much nicer hotel for 2 nights which also served beautiful tasty food which was another disappointment about the Contika. The food was not very nice and the choice very limited. "
