As a frequent business traveler, I found this hotel exceptional in every way. It’s ideally located near major transport links—Fuji-Q Highland Bus Station and free shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station, plus direct routes from Narita Airport—making business trips hassle-free. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable for working or relaxing. Complimentary access to the onsen and museum offered great downtime after meetings. Discount park tickets and immediate Fuji-Q Highland access were added bonuses. The view in the breakfast room was stunning watching Mt Fuji while enjoying nice food is such a unique experience. I couldn’t find a single downside except the slightly unpredictable wifi connection. I’ll definitely choose this location again for both work and leisure.
We absolutely loved our stay at the Highland Hotel and Resort, perfectly timed for our anniversary and birthday celebration! We had booked an Executive Floor room (Floors 10 & 11) with a Mt. Fuji view and requested a quiet location. The staff went above and beyond, not only placing us on the top 11th floor but also providing a complimentary upgrade to a significantly larger room than the one we originally booked! The view of Mt. Fuji from our window was truly exemplary- we were incredibly fortunate to have clear, unobstructed views every day of our stay. ✨ Executive Floor Privileges & Amenities Staying on the Executive Floor offered fantastic perks that enhanced our experience: Premium Bath Amenities: We were delighted to find luxurious BVLGARI bath amenities (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc.) provided in the bathroom- a lovely, complimentary touch. Complimentary Access: Guests enjoy free, unlimited access to the fantastic Fujiyama Onsen hot spring facility, we tried this after after our crazy King of the coaster ride and it was a perfect way to relax! 🍽️ Dining and Service The entire hotel staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, was welcoming, attentive, and provided flawless service. While the breakfast and dinner buffets offered limited options, the food was decent, and the jaw-dropping views from the restaurant made every meal special, yun lang takaga habol siguro 😁😁 📍 Unbeatable Location & Accessibility The hotel's location is truly unbeatable for exploring the area. We had direct access to the Fuji-Q Highland theme park, including a special 15-minute early access privilege before it opened to the general public. Plus the main bus terminal is right next door. It offers routes back to major Tokyo hubs (Shinjuku and Shibuya), a convenient 1:00 PM direct bus to Narita Airport, and routes to explore nearby areas like Kawaguchiko Lake. This hotel is a truly accessible and spectacular choice. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!
The Good Points Exceptional Location: The hotel's best feature is its proximity to key attractions and transport links. It is situated right beside Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, making access incredibly easy. Furthermore, a convenient bus station is right in front of the hotel, providing direct access to major hubs like Tokyo Station and Shinjuku Station. Surrounding Amenities: The area around the hotel is very convenient, with lots of restaurants and shops (including Donki) within walking distance. Staff Service: The staff were very good and attentive throughout our stay. Onsen: The onsen (hot spring bath) facilities were nice and relaxing. ⚠️ Areas for Improvement WiFi Connectivity: The hotel's original WiFi was highly unreliable. It only connected for a few hours on the first night, then disconnected and was unusable for the remaining two nights. We had to call the staff who promptly provided a portable WiFi device, which resolved the issue. This is a crucial area that needs immediate fixing. Onsen Access Temperature: While the onsen itself was nice, the long corridor walk from the hotel lobby to the onsen was freezing cold in parts, especially noticeable in November. It would greatly improve the experience if this entire corridor could be fully warmed. 🍽️ Food Breakfast Buffet: The breakfast buffet was acceptable and met an okay standard. ⭐️ Summary I would recommend this hotel for its unbeatable location and great service. The price is still acceptable because the onsen access and breakfast were included in the stay. Fixing the WiFi and heating the onsen corridor would elevate the guest experience significantly.
Stayed one night. It was amazing to have Mt Fuji at your doorstep. Room was comfortable, everything was nice except for this one lady staff member who peered at us with a frowning look. She did not smile at us or help us. They also have an automated shop in the hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast and dinner. Honcho street, Oshino hakkai and Arakurayama Sengen is close by as well.

“Great view of Mount Fuji!”
Located just beside of Fuji-Q highland bus stop for traveling by express bus from Shinjuku. Receptionist is friendly, and able to communicate in English. Room is huge and spacious compared to Tokyo standard. The bed linen and bathroom is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is great mix of local & international food, and awesome view of Mount Fuji from restaurant. Walkable distance to nearby Don Quijote or restaurant, however it is quite dark when walking down along the road after sunset. The earliest Fujikyu shuttle bus from hotel is 8.45am. Recommend to get Uber / taxi travel to Kawaguchiko / car Rental if you plan to travel earlier. Wake up early morning and get a clear view of Mount Fuji from hotel room window is definitely rewarding! Overall it was awesome stay at Highland resort!
