always back to midtown”

i spent many times to stay at midtown Surabaya, then I have chance to try to stay at midtown Samarinda. they manage to keep the excellent standard compare to midtown Surabaya, and in samarinda the location is strategic, walking distance to food center and many places to go.

Nice Lobby for non-smoker!”

I went there with total of 11 family members (booked 5 rooms). We had good stay there. * Nice lobby area, clean, modern design (also non-smoking, which was very important), unlike most other hotel lobby in Samarinda where everybody smoked at lobby * Room was okay (bed and pillows were clean and comfortable). The only downside would be the towels, which a bit yellowish with some brown spots (asked for new ones, they came clean) * There were very minimal amenities in the bathroom, but still okay (bathroom was clean, shower was nice too) * There were no hairdryer and iron in the room (they'd send right away though once we asked, and they were free of charge) * Breakfast was okay (menu choices and taste were okay)

it was a new hotel, but for the room size also for the facility that it have, i think still expensive, the rooms was not so big for a 4 stars hotel.

Nearby great Padang food restaurant, very convenient. Staf always greeting us! I know it's their job, but take nice people to smile all the time, right? This is my first time in the town, and stay there one of good vibe to start my day. Breakfast i good, many choices.

Only good on the surface”

Many say the hotel is clean, but at what price? Sacrificing the sleep of guest by using noisy vacuum and talking loudly outside the room. They know I put 'do not disturb' so they don't knock on my door but making loud noises outside my room is OK? No consideration for guest. Many say room is nice. Have they stayed in Swissbel, Aston, Horizon or Bumi Senyiur? Compare to them, Midtown uses sub-standard furniture in the room which is easily broken. I wonder how many times they repair the lousy furniture and wait for the next victim. Purchasing problem? Many say staff are nice and friendly which should be but are they kind, helpful? When the chair, with lousy wooden legs, in my room broke, the staff is concern with removing it from the room. Did they return to clean the wood chips on the floor? No. Did they ask if I am injured? No. They are only busy assessing the damage and sending photo to the front desk so they can charge me. What if I have babies in the room? Lack training?

Dissapointed with value of the money, hope got breakfast with that price, but no breakfast. Other side hard to find parking for a car, what kind of hotels didn't have own parking ? not so clean hotels, better find other hotels than mid town

lots of ants on the bed and the wall. OMG. I cannot sleep. Cleaning Service have come twice to clean but there are still many ants. I was bitten and very itchy. and my room ready at 2.30 pm. Ckckckck..

No hair dryer, small insect & I got a smoking room. The smoke from other room went through the room via ventilation., so the room is smelly, stuffy & smokey.
